“So many books, so little time.”
This quote by Frank Zappa is relatable for every reader. Every day there is new addition to our wish lists and every week or month we buy new books. Our unread pile keeps on growing.
My unread books has also increased and it has reached to a number that was my Goodreads reading goal for 2019, i.e. 40. For tackling my unread books, I have thought of participating in few reading challenges. Prompts given in these challenges help us in going to our bookshelves in looking for those books which we have got but forgot to read.
In previous years, I have participated in few short term reading challenges. But participating in a whole year reading challenge is new for me. I hope I would be able to complete them.
So, following are the Reading Challenges I am participating in 2020:
1. Goodreads Reading Challenge
This is the only challenge in which I am participating for last 2 years. Last year, I had set the target for 50, but could only complete 44 books. So, this year I have set target for 40.
2. Reading Women Challenge
I have read about this challenge last year, but I was not having books as per the prompts. This challenge is all about reading books by Women or about Women.
Following are the prompts:
You can read about this challenge here
3. Reading With Muffy Challenge
It is a monthly reading challenge which is organised by Shalini of Kohl eyed me
It has 12 monthly prompts and 8 additional prompts. I have got lots of books for these prompts from my shelf.
You can sign up for this challenge from here
4. Book Bingo Reading Challenge
This is the reading challenge in which I am participating for just fun. It is organised by Modern Gypsy
This challenge is based on 25 prompts given on a bingo card.
5. 52 Books in 52 weeks
This challenge is hosted by Mommy Mannegren
It consists of 52 amazing prompts. These are very easy and fun prompts.
I think these are enough challenges for 2020. Comment if you are participating in any of these challenges or have recommendation for any prompt. Let me know about the other challenges you are participating in.
6. Key Word Reading Challenge
This challenge is little different and unique. Every month there will be some keywords and books having one of the keywords in title can be read each month. I am really excited for this challenge. This challenge is hosted by Girlxoxo
